Juniors
Verulam currently have 60 junior members aged 7 to 18. New members are always welcome, simply complete and return the Junior Application Form
.
Juniors are encouraged to attend PGA Professional coaching sessions in age and ability groups to improve their golf, practise new skills and make new friends.
From beginner’s coaching, Juniors progress to play the course from Blue Family Tees (3858 yards), then with handicaps from the Red, Yellow and White Tees. Play is only restricted in the morning on weekends and bank holidays.
Organised junior activities include regular competitions and inter-club team matches
- Monthly Trophy, Medal and Stableford competitions – April through October
- Annual Junior Club Championship and Singles Matchplay
- East Herts League – 11 club teams play fourball betterball matchplay
- Ver League – 16 clubs play knockout singles matchplay
- Herts Golf Union individual and team competitions
- Verulam Junior Open
Juniors with CONGU handicaps can enter Men’s, Ladies and Mixed club competitions.
The subscription rates for Junior members from 1st August 2011 to 31st July 2012, are as follows:
