The Ver League

Junior teams from 14 Hertfordshire golf clubs compete with 2 golf clubs from just over the Bedfordshire border in the Ver League. The competition takes it name from the river Ver which runs through Verulam Golf Club, founders of the league. Winners of this annual team knock-out competition are awarded the Ver Shield. Each round comprises of seven singles matchplay games played home and away. First round losers progress to the consolation competition for the Ver Plate.
