Thanks to everyone who came or supported my coffee morning, it was a really lovely occasion to see so many people enjoying themselves. Jo, with Cyril the Dog came to talk about our charity ‘Dogs for Good’ and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room - what a difference that dog has made to Jo’s family.
So with that in mind, I am so pleased to let you know we raised £900 at the coffee morning of which £400 will go to the charity and £500 to the ladies funds. If there is surplus money left at the end of my year, I will put that into the charity, of course leaving Angie with a working amount.
My thanks go to my vice-captain Angie, for all her help and the donation of the book for the blind auction which raised £30. Also to Sarah,Sue H, Ann C and Mo for all their assistance preparing raffles, entrance tickets, dog names and the bottle stall which was very popular! I couldn’t have done it without them. To everyone who helped during the morning, the magnificent array of cakes that were all donated, Maxine as always for the flowers, Michelle who prepared the room and set up the tables, Fran for posters etc and just being patient. The kind male members of the club that contributed and all the ladies that couldn’t be there but donated money/cakes/bottles, I thank you all.
