Ladies

Lady members at Verulam are a friendly and active group with a range of playing abilities who warmly welcome both visitors and new members to Verulam Golf Club.  In addition, there are a number of social lady members who frequently visit the club to catch up with friends.

Lady members play every Wednesday morning in organised club competitions, including stableford, medal, betterball, knock-out and general fun competitions which are enjoyed throughout the golfing year.  General play can be enjoyed at other times.  There is also a group of Lady Members who play at the weekends.

Lady members may compete in Club competitions alongside all other members, as well as winter fun competitions, several mixed competitions and friendly fixtures against other clubs.

In addition to Friendly matches, the ladies enter the Pearson Trophy and the Ovaltine Ladies’ Scratch Leagues, giving the members an excellent opportunity to improve their match play skills and experience other clubs in Hertfordshire.

There are a variety of social events and fun days organised throughout year, including a very successful Family Fun Day.  Lady members host an annual Ladies’ Open Day and two Invitation days, one of which is held at the weekend.  Lady members play an important role in the administrative and social side of Verulam Golf Club.

Ladies will find Verulam the ideal venue to play and improve their golf and socialise in a traditional environment.  A warm welcome awaits new members.
