Winners of division 1 in the monthly medals from August to July play in the division 1 medal finals as part of the August medal competition. The player with the best score in the final qualifies for the Phillips Cup.

Winners of division 1 in the monthly stablefords from August to July play in the division 1 stableford finals as part of the August stableford competition. The player with the best score in the final qualifies for the Phillips Cup.
