Joel Saunders - Head Professional & PGA AAT Class Professional

Joel has been attached to Verulam as a PGA Professional since 2001 having been a Junior Member of the Club.

Following qualification to the PGA in 2004, he has developed a busy teaching schedule combined with playing in PGA Tournaments within the East Region PGA and in various National Events.

With over 17 years experience of coaching Joel has a passion for coaching. Complimented by a Foresight GC Quad Launch Monitor, video technology and two 50 inch televisions he can provide the most detailed golf lesson whilst keeping the basics at the forefront.

Laurence Allen - Samuel Ryder Academy Director & PGA AA Class Professional

Laurence is our full time golf professional undertaking many duties at the golf club. 

Key roles are, driving the Academy & Tuition forward being proactive and innovative in creating and delivering golf development initiatives.

Having completed his PGA Degree in 2012 he has been applying his trade as a full time Teaching Professional whilst also finding time to play events on the PGA East Region.

He also is a Hertfordshire Golf Lead Performance Coach and is highly regarded and regionally recognised. All levels of golfers are taught from complete beginners to professionals applying their trade playing for a living.

Grant Neal - Samuel Ryder Academy Lead Coach & PGA Professional

Grant has been a PGA Professional since graduating from the highly regarded honours degree in Applied Golf Management Studies in 2015. Since then he has coached across Europe at various establishments, including The V Club Lithuania, European Centre Golf Club Lithuania, The David Leadbetter Academy at La Manga Golf Complex and Hanbury Manor, England.

During this time he has also played on professional golf tours such such as Alps Tour and Europro, as well as playing in PGA east region and national events.

With this blend of deep understanding, knowledge and passion, his holistic approach will provide each individual with the skills needed to improve their game.

BEN DYSON - PGA Assistant Professional

Ben is the full time retail assistant at Verulam Professional Shop.

Ben has sound overall knowledge in the golf industry, learnt from his time working at Moor Park Golf Club and golf studies at college.

During this time Ben has played golf to a good standard and is looking to enroll onto the PGA diploma in the next year.

Ben is now currently undertaking his PGA Professional diploma and in Year 1 of his degree.
